HOW TO PAINT ISENGARD URUK-HAI SCOUTS

Hi everyone, since I am currently working on an Lord Of the Rings (LoTR) Isengard army, I thought it would be good to show you how I paint my Uruk-hai Scouts.

Paints needed -
GW Calthan Brown or similar
GW Boltgun Metal or similar
GW Dark flesh or similar
GW Badab black wash or Vallejo Black wash
GW Mithril Silver or similar (optional)

* GW - Games Workshop/ Citadel

For a reasonable paint conversion chart, visit here

Steps -
1. Prime the whole model with a black primer.
2. Basecoat with Calthan Brown.
3. Basecoat skin with Dark Flesh.
4. Basecoat metal with Boltgun Metal.
5. Clean up any mistakes with the correct colour.
6. Give the model a liberal wash of Badab Black. Leave plenty of time to dry.

7. Highlight brown areas with Calthan Brown, aiming for the areas where light would naturally fall.

8. If you wish to go further, then drybrush Boltgun Metal onto the metal areas and highlight with  Mithril Silver.
9. Don' t forget to put something on the base.
